WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment: any electrical or electronic item that has been thrown away, from computers and mobile phones to kitchen appliances and televisions.
Electrical waste contains valuable materials that can be recovered, as well as substances that can harm people and the environment. That is why it must be collected and recycled separately from general waste.
You choose how your data-carrying devices are handled, at no extra cost, and we collect any quantity free of charge with every scheduled collection. There are two options:
Physical destruction: hard drives are shredded and the fragments are sent for materials recovery, so the data can never be retrieved.
Secure erasure: every sector of the drive is overwritten until no data remains, so the device can be reused. This takes time (a 1 TB drive can take up to 24 hours).
Both options come with a certificate for your records.
We aim to collect within 7 days of your booking, and many collections take place the next day.
If your timing is flexible, we can also collect within 2 weeks, when our vehicles are next in your area.
Yes. We supply 240 to 1,100-litre wheelie bins, 660-litre pallet boxes and cut-top IBCs.
Most containers are free of charge for customers who book at least two collections a year, and we collect them once they are full.
